We provide poor and ultra-poor communities access to clean water and latrines through the Community Water and Sanitation Project. We engage community members to ensure that the technology selected for the project is appropriate for the local context. We are committed to using local technology and materials in order to ensure rapid and easy repairs. To ensure community ownership, we involve community members in every aspect of the project.
In order to ensure equal investment in project and sustainability, we require that members of the community provide in-kind contribution for the project (i.e. labor, tools). We also use the project platform to share information about good hygiene practices.
