ABOUT COTE D’Ivoire
Cote d’Ivoire, a French speaking country, is one of the most prosperous states in West Africa. With 42% of the population living below the poverty line, the country has been mired in political instability and violence. Cote D’Ivoire is ranked 27th in maternal mortality rate and 22nd infant mortality rate. Cote d’Ivoire is ranked 171 out of 187 countries in the 2014 UNDP Human Development Index (HDI).
