Aissata Nominated for 120 Under 40

Around the world, we continue to see challenges to women’s rights to their bodies including increased attacks on issues related to reproductive rights/justice. We have to act to protect these rights in the United States and around the world.

That is why we are thrilled to learn that co-founder Aissata M.B. Camara has been nominated for the 120 under 40: The New Generation of Family Planning Leaders. 120 Under 40 is a project of the Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Reproductive Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, with support from Bayer. Its goal is to highlight the “positive disruptions” made by young leaders in family planning and to enable others to build on their success.  Aissata said, “As a winner, I’ll continue to link reproductive rights/justice to the work we’re doing to end female genital mutilation (FGM) because our rights should not be up to debate nor should they be used as political tools!”
